Following the completion of the Bachelor of Pharmacy qualification and the internship-year, newly qualified pharmacists should perform one year of remunerated community service. Placement of community service pharmacists is determined by the National Department of Health (NDoH).
HOWEVER, this means you are sadly not guaranteed placement at a facility near your home/ in an area you are familiar with. Thus, interns are allowed to swop their placements with other interns.
